How to Make Healthy Mexican Salad Recipes

For centuries, people have believed that consuming non-meat foods can improve the health of their body. Now, with technology at our hand, scientists have proved that this old believe is perfectly right. We don’t know why our ancient know about this but one thing we should know about this Mexican salad: we need them because our body need them too. It is a complete solution for today’s health problem.

We don’t need to eat synthetic medicine anymore if we want to prevent from being attacked by certain disease because by having regular salads consumption, our body will gain the power to build its immune system and make them stronger. The whole system in our body will also becomes stronger and healthier. There is no reason for everyone to reject salads and their healthy content.

The only problem is: many people are not interested in eating salads because of their ‘weird’ taste and bad-looking. So, what we want to learn now is how to show to all people who salads are not like that. Let’s try with some examples to prove this ‘hypothesis’

Southwest Layered Salad

If you think you don’t have time to make any salad because of your daily activities, you should try this one. Mexican salad is so simple. You don’t need to spend much time to make this salad. There is also no need to worry about the cost you should spend to buy the ingredients because they are cheap enough. For 4 people, this salad is enough with 1.5 cups of salad per serving.

Make some improvisation for the salads. You can choose filling like grilled chicken or if you don’t like some ingredients, you can improve by yourself but be careful not to make the taste becomes bad.

Ingredients:

  • 6 cups torn romaine lettuce
  • 1 15-ounce can of rinsed black beans
  • 1 11-ounce can of drained whole kernel corn
  • ½ cup store-bought salsa
  • ½ cheese crumbles
  • ½ cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup broken tortilla chips

How To Make It:

Take a serving plate and place the lettuce on the bottom of it. Top it with the black beans, corn, salsa, and cheese crumbles by creating layer for each ingredient.

You can also do some drizzling for the salad dressing on the top of the salad. Top the salad with broken tortilla chips to make it even tastier.

Bean Mexican Salad

Welcome to the next level of salads recipe! Unlike other salads, beans, corn, tomatoes, and peppers can create aromatic dish at this salad. This tasty salad can serve up to 8 people.

Try to pair this salad with meat and warm tortillas and don’t be surprised if you get great taste from them.

Don’t worry about the ingredients you need to make this salad. You can find most of them at local market, however you may still need to find the other ingredients which are only available at local Mexican food store or somewhere else. It is Mexican food, you know.

Never stop improvising if you find something else that you think will serve better taste than the listed ingredients. You can try to use them, too, but be careful about the taste. You might need to try the original taste of the ingredients before mixing it or them with the salads.

Ingredients:

  • 1 15-ounce can of rinsed and drained black beans
  • 1 15-ounce can of drained beans
  • 3 cups frozen corn kernels
  • ½ diced onion
  • 2 seeded and minced jalapeño peppers
  • 1 diced red bell pepper
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 diced roman tomato
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • ½ teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • salt to taste

How You Make It:

Take a large bowl where we will combine the ingredients listed above: black beans, beans, corn, onion, jalapeño, red bell pepper, cilantro, tomato, olive oil, lime juice, honey, pepper, and salt. Then, mix all of them gently. To get the best taste of this salad, you better store it for at least 1 hour before serving the salad on your table.

You can serve this salad whether as the main course or just only the side dish. You can also serve the Mexican salad when you want, but always remember to concern about the pair of this salads too. Sometimes, it is better to serve this salad alone without serving other meals but sometimes you may need to do that especially if you found that the salad won’t be enough to make everyone’s full enough. One more thing, try to combine this salad with certain type of drinks. There are many tricks you can use in improving the taste or the dressing of the salads and none of them is bad until you’ve proven it. So, why you don’t try your own salad?
